Immuni-Tea

I love this little powerhouse of a tea, it’s so simple to make and delicious, with SO many health benefits its hard to believe I forget about it sometimes.  I wanted to remind you of its goodness.

Benefits of lemon, ginger and honey tea:

Soothes and relieves cold and flu symptoms. Helps with digestives issues. Strengthens immune system. Detoxifies (helps the liver flush out toxins).

Ginger: Good for digestion.  Helps prevent colds, flu, motion sickness and vertigo.  It strengthens your digestive system and can prevent indigestion, nausea, and heartburn. Ginger is also helpful in alleviating menstrual cramps, migraines, sore throats, fatigue, and constipation and it is great in providing relief from the stomach flu and food poisoning.

Lemon:  It promotes hydration, a good source of vitamin C, It supports weight loss, improves your skin quality, aids digestion, freshens breath, helps prevent kidney stones.  Lemons also contain micro mineral salts that break down pathogens such as mold, yeast, fungus and unproductive bacteria in the body to help protect your liver.

Raw Honey: Raw honey is antimicrobial: antiviral, antibacterial, anti-fungal, all in one. High-Quality Raw Honey is rich in vitamins, minerals and other nutrients.

Grate the ginger into 4 cups of water. Allow the water to steep for at least 30 minutes (or longer). You can even leave it steeping in the fridge overnight if you wish. Strain the ginger out of the water when you're ready to drink it (or leave it in if you prefer), add the lemon juice and raw honey.  You can drink this warm or cool, whatever you like.

When I first started drinking this tea, I strained it because it can be spicy (from the ginger) and now I like my ginger left in it.

Also, I like mine warm at night and cool during the day.  Sometimes I add a little cinnamon, or a lavender sprig, thats fun and tasty!
